Jai Guru Deva is an ongoing visual story about the life and work of Japanese winemaker Shun Minowa, who relocated his life from Tokyo to the Trebbia Valley to produce natural wine. Drawn to the raw, unspoiled character of the landscape, Shun found in these hills not only a place to grow vines, but a space for rootedness and inspiration.
The project seeks to follow his life, his intimate relationship with the land, and the production of wine as a cultural act rather than a commercial one. It traces a path where Japanese spiritual and artisanal sensibilities intersect with the rugged memory of the Italian Apennine.
